Here are a few of my most favourite projects to date, some blogged and some not:
Indi's Moonbag and Star pillow I made for an overseas trip
The Fab Four
Tea dress for an English party
Dress of a Thousand Bows
My wedding dress and Indi's flowergirl dress
Polka dot dress worn by my lovely friend Amber
My Alice outfit for my Hens party. Here with my Mad best friend Hatter!
January dress, a bit of sunshine in the rainy season
So much has happened in the last year. We moved diagonally across the country from Townsville, QLD to Perth, WA. I've plodded along slowly on my correspondence course for Fashion Design and Dressmaking. I started a short Patternmaking course which has taught me so much already. I was lucky enough to get an overlocker for Christmas and I've been constantly working out how she exactly works and putting her to good use. And I've decided to get serious and start making clothes to sell soon, starting with kids clothes using vintage fabric and then hopefully moving onto womens wear. Staying disciplined is the hardest thing I have to learn, and something I constantly have to work on!
I hope the next year is amazing, and who knows where it will take me. As long as I keep motivated to sew projects I love and have fun blogging about them, I'm sure it will be great.
Thanks to everyone who has read and/or commented here. It always makes my day to read lovely thoughts from you wonderful creative people!
