WOW! One whole year since I started this little blog for my sewing sanity and amusement. This last year has gone so fast and so slow at the same time. It's been great fun. It has definitely helped me become more focused on my sewing, ideas and meeting deadlines. I've received comments from so many lovely people, which was a shock as I thought nobody even saw this little obscure blog! And the amount of awesome blogs I have found has kept me very busy/distracted for hours and hours!
Here are a few of my most favourite projects to date, some blogged and some not:
So much has happened in the last year. We moved diagonally across the country from Townsville, QLD to Perth, WA. I've plodded along slowly on my correspondence course for Fashion Design and Dressmaking. I started a short Patternmaking course which has taught me so much already. I was lucky enough to get an overlocker for Christmas and I've been constantly working out how she exactly works and putting her to good use. And I've decided to get serious and start making clothes to sell soon, starting with kids clothes using vintage fabric and then hopefully moving onto womens wear. Staying disciplined is the hardest thing I have to learn, and something I constantly have to work on!
I hope the next year is amazing, and who knows where it will take me. As long as I keep motivated to sew projects I love and have fun blogging about them, I'm sure it will be great.
Thanks to everyone who has read and/or commented here. It always makes my day to read lovely thoughts from you wonderful creative people!
Happy Blogiversary! If you ever want to test out the market scene in Perth I would be happy to offer advice etc x
